District English Learner Advisory Committee
The LUSD District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) is composed of school staff, parents of English learners, parents, and community members who are interested in English learner programs. DELAC members are elected by ELAC members at school sites.
The purpose of the DELAC is to advise English learner services and programs offered by the district. The overall goal of the DELAC is to improve our English learners’ acquisition of fluency in English and to help our students achieve academic success. DELAC advises the District on at least the following tasks:

Parent Advisory Committee on Black Student Achievement
The LUSD Parent Advisory Committee on Black Student Achievement includes parents of students who identify as African American or Black, district staff members, community members, and community agency leaders. The primary purpose of the Committee is to advise the District on matters related to the academic performance, well-being, and overall experience of students who identify as African American or Black. Special Education Advisory Committee
The LUSD Special Education Advisory Committee includes general and special education staff, parents, and community members interested in enhancing special education services. The Committee advises on the development, review, and implementation of the district's Local Plan for Special Education, ensuring that policies and programs align with the needs of students with disabilities and foster collaboration among stakeholders. Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Advisory Committee
The District LCAP Advisory Committee is a district-level committee made up of parents, community leaders, classified and certificated staff, and administrators who consult with the Board of Trustees and district management staff on the development of the LCAP. Parents, community members, and staff are essential to the committee membership.
The District LCAP Advisory Committee consults with the district and facilitates coordination and collaboration of parents, staff, and the community on matters related to all programs and services in CSD. The District LCAP Advisory Committee provides a forum for communication, information, and input. Key activities include:

Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee
The Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (“COC”), a committee of community leaders, for the implementation of the Measure M bond.
Voters residing within the Lompoc Unified School District approved a $160 million dollar general obligation bond measure, Measure M, on the November 5, 2024 ballot. Measure M authorizes funding for needed repairs, upgrades, and new construction projects to the District’s schools and facilities.
State law requires that the LUSD’s Board of Trustees appoint a COC, composed of at least seven members meeting Prop 9 representation criteria, to work with the District on a bond authorized under Proposition 39. In accordance with Education Code Section 15278(b), the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee shall:
